About the Farm

We are a small farm located in Eastern Ontario, Canada. We have a beef herd and primarily sell to the freezer beef industry. Our interest began with Curlies when I developed allergies to horses. A friend of ours introduced us to an article on this unique breed. At first we were sceptical about a horse that had the ability to be hypoallergenic. After much research and discussions with Curly owners, who are a most energetic bunch to promote and help others develop knowledge of this breed, we brought two mares home. Of course like any hobby it has a tendancy to grow on you - Curly horses are just like peanuts you can't have just one. As for the allergies I still test positive to horses. We have a small donkey for our children and he causes the sniffles and all the effects people with allergies experience, but the Curlies are fine. Our horses are outside all year (except to foal), and they have sheltered lean sheds for protection. They are a delight to own with all their unique characteristics and their most cherished quality, calmness and a extemely gentle disposition. We ride our horses and our youngest competes with her horse at local fairs.
